Website Revamp
I'm in the process of overhauling my entire website. It's going to be divided into three different sections. Here's the front page of one of those sections - it's inert right now, nothing is active, but this will eventually be functional.

I'll readily admit that I'm very old fashioned in my coding. All handwritten HTML and I even use frames (not iframes, but actual frames). CSS is beyond me. But I usually manage what I'm trying for, even if my methods are outdated. ^_^

Thanks! I made all the images myself, with the exception of the tiled background, which I found on a free-to-use wallpapers site.

Love the graphics, it has grabbed my attention. I especially like the terms you use... they are real words but unusual... they twist the tongue and dazzle the mind.

Thank you! I spent quite a while coming up with some of those terms for my menus. I knew right off the bat what I wanted for some of them (like "Dramatic Personae" and "Daguerreotypes"), but I really had to ponder the others for a while.

Very cool! I really like the layout and colours, and as twigling said, the words you've chosen area really evocative of the mood you're going for :) can't wait to see it when its done!

The only suggestion I have is to maybe make the border elements a little smaller..? It'll make the content 'pop.'

..and handwritten html beats the crap out of what 'wysiwygs' will churn out :)

Awww, crap. I tried to make the border images smaller, to see how I liked it, and apparently broke my Photoshop. I can't get them to save correctly now! Crap and double crap. I'm not knowledgeable enough about Photoshop to do this stuff. DX

It's not saying anything, they're just saving blurry now, even though all the save settings are the same. =_= And they're the exact same images.

OKAY! Got the pixelation to go away. I still don't know what was wrong, but I tried saving them with a custom matte setting and it worked well enough (though still not the same as they were before, go figure).

Hmm. You're probably already doing this, but are you working from the same original source image..?

*late back to the party*
