Laith al-Mehri ibn Mahdi (لَيطح المَهرِ بن مَحدِ)
Laith's head came home from cifr today! (Along with Duo's head and both of Ha-Neul's faceplates, but I haven't managed photos of the chibi yet, and Duo has no body and no eyes and no hair, so...yeah.) He's gorgeous. My doctor is starting to look more like himself (though he still needs a wig of his own - this is borrowed). I'm absolutely thrilled.

And dude, if anyone out there happens to know how to read Arabic and I've somehow messed up Laith's name up there, please let me know! Figuring out how to write it was very difficult, and I suspect I've got it wrong.

Thank you! I'm absolutely delighted with him. His legs are SO LONG, though. @_@

He looks great! Very sexy! Congrats to have him (and the heads) home!

I'm very impressed that you learned or taught yourself some arabic! Wow .... I don't know any arabic so I can't offer you any advice.

I didn't really teach myself any, I just spent...like...five hours with textbooks and translators, figuring out how to write his name (hopefully), and THEN trying to get it typed on the computer (which was even harder).

He's very sexy! Sadly, he doesn't see much action, as he's hopelessly in love with his very taken and very lesbian boss. I think he may have a bit of a martyr complex - either that or he's just ridiculously into the whole unrequited attraction thing. XD

He looks great! Western does have an arabic program (started the year I graduated, otherwise I'd totally be in it), maybe you could hunt down the teacher and poke a few questions at them?

Hmm. Possible. I've already finished a WWU, but maybe I could find their eMail and contact them that way.

O_O

Would you please, please flash-fic me this gentleman? I long to hear his voice.

In odd other news, I am listening to Tom Clancy's Hunt for Red October. **scratches head** Maybe I will post a review of sorts. But nobody beats Clancy for extra-crunchy technological submarine talk.

Seriously? :P I was turned off his work when he described an explosion like this:

BOOM!

wtf? (carriage returns as printed ;P

Well, yeah, Clancy is really puzzling. You get all this loving detail about sonar operators - some fairly cute plot invention - but his characters seesaw between relatively nuanced, subtle guys and full-bore Marty Stu-beasts, and there seems to be something very clunky about the actual unfolding events.

I understand he never actually saw combat, washed out in the medical exams or something when he tried to enlist. Of course, this particular book is circa the Cold War, but it's striking how everyone is just longing to go do real actual war, and complaining about being unable to blow dudes up.

A reality deficit? Possibly - nevertheless, despite all, I still appreciate that model-train geekish fascination with sonar. I haven't been put off my feed badly enough to send the audiobook back to the library yet.

Yeah? I've not read much Clancy, but I do remember being in the room while my dad was watching the first half of the Hunt for Red October movie.

Flash-fic, huh? I'll see what I can manage. ^_~ There is a very brief appearance by him here, but it doesn't really focus on him.

He is an interesting doctor. He's kind of like a combination field medic, general practitioner, and lab technician, simply because he's adapted to the demands of his job. But he started out as an emergency room physician.

Is the wig you are going to get for HIM going to be a brunette wig?

Ooooh yes he looks awesome, very swab too. He's an Echium right? It's nice to see how a stunning faceup really shows off the mold! Nice skin colour too.
